About Us

Our region, American Youth Soccer Organization Region 140, Carson City, Nevada was chartered in 1979. Since then, more than 20,000 children between the ages of 5 and 18 have participated in our program. More than 3000 adult and youth volunteers have helped the program be a success.

We are very proud of our program, which emphasizes having fun, succeeding as a team, and the enjoyment of sport.

Soccer in Carson City has a great partnership with the entire community. Our Parks and Recreation Department does a great job maintaining Edmonds Sports Complex. We are fortunate to have some of the finest soccer fields in northern Nevada for our use.

All AYSO programs are run by volunteers. We are always looking for help in running the program, from serving on our board to helping set out corner flags, there is always something that you can do to help the kids in our community. Volunteering with AYSO is easy: we will train you if necessary, and give you clear, easy assignments. We appreciate the help you give us, even if it is only one day during the entire season.

AYSO in Carson City has had a host of long-term community sponsors. For many years now, Carson RV has donated a trailer to our regional fund-raising raffle. Corporate and community sponsors allow us to have one of the lowest player registration fees in the entire nation.

We provide scholarships to children whose families would not otherwise be able to afford the modest registration fee. Our philosophy, truly, is that everyone plays.
