About AYSO Region 140
Serving Carson City youth soccer since 1976.
AYSO Region 140 was chartered on November 29, 1976. Since then, more than 50,000 players
ages 3–18 have participated in our program, supported by over 4,000 volunteers who have helped
make youth soccer in Carson City a lasting success.
Soccer in Carson City is built on strong community partnerships. Our Parks and Recreation Department maintains
the Peter Livermore (Edmonds) Sports Complex, providing some of the finest soccer fields in northern Nevada.
We are fortunate to have access to facilities that support a high-quality experience for our players and families.
AYSO programs are organized into local “Regions,” and Region 140 is one of nearly 1,000 across the country.
As a nonprofit organization—and the oldest national youth soccer program in the United States—AYSO is committed
to delivering a fun, family-centered soccer experience built on its Six Philosophies:
Everyone Plays • Balanced Teams • Open Registration • Positive Coaching • Good Sportsmanship • Player Development
All AYSO programs are run by volunteers, and Region 140 is no exception.
Whether it’s coaching, refereeing, helping on game days, or supporting behind the scenes, there is a place for everyone
to get involved. We provide training, keep expectations clear, and appreciate any time you can give—even if it’s just
one day during the season.
