Volunteers Make The Season Happen!!
Do you have 2-4 hours per month to help AYSO be the best program for your child that it can be?
AYSO is an all-volunteer organization, from the Regional Commissioner to the coaches and referees, down to to the picture day helpers. No amount of help is too small. Our volunteers quickly learn that the help can be easy, and is often fun! AYSO does lots of things besides on-field soccer, so even those new to the game are encouraged to step forward for your kids!
Volunteer opportunities of all types are available. Some are soccer-related like coaching, referee, or field help. Other opportunities can use your other skills, like board membership, event planning, and community outreach. No matter the role, AYSO has training and support. All you need is the desire to help, and we can get you the rest of the way.
We currently are looking to fill the following positions, and have training available:
- Coach Mentor - Feel like you've handled coaching, and want to help others do the same? We are looking for a coach mentor to help answer questions from new coaching volunteers. Coach mentors offer a few hours per month, but impact an entire class of new coaching volunteers! Training and support provided.
- Coaches - Did you have a positive experience as a youth from a dedicated adult volunteer? Be that for your child! All AYSO coaches are volunteers who are trained and given equipment to help share the game with the kids. We can provide practice outlines, tips, and any other support you would like. All we need from you is a few hours a month to cheer your team on and teach them our core values. Training and support provided.
- Referees - Teams cannot play without a ref! All referees are volunteers, and are trained in the Laws of the Game. Referees are supported through our referee training program and will be provided with the tools they need to call the game. Training and support provided.
- Other "helpers" - Want to help but don't know where to start? AYSO needs all hands available to help have a successful season. If you'd like to help, please let us know and we can find a role for you that fits with your schedule and skills.
