Air Quality Policy

Air Quality Policy

If the current Air Quality Index (AQI) at AirNow.gov is 151 or greater, soccer will be cancelled.  The Regional Commissioner or Assistant Commissioner may cancel soccer for poor air quality at a lower AQI based on other observations and input from others.

It is recommended that players with sensitive conditions not play if the AQI is 101 or greater.

If a coach or referee determines that it is unsafe to play due to poor air quality, they may cancel their session/game.  If a game has started, generally it is the responsibility of the referee to suspend or call the game due to unsafe conditions.

If a parent feels that it is unsafe for their child to play, they should always feel comfortable to not allow their child to play.

Thunder and Lightning Policy

Thunder and Lightning Policy

If a coach or referee determines that it is unsafe to play due to lightning in the vicinity of the field, they may cancel their session/game.  If a game has started, generally it is the responsibility of the referee to suspend or call the game due to unsafe conditions.
